C4 gasket and filter

Any tips before I dive in? Isn't there one spring in particular that always pops out?

Make sure you get a filter for a Bronco. Everyone tries to give you the exchange filter from a Pinto or something and it doesnt have the extension tube hole and gromet.

Also, if you can let it drain overnight before you drop the pan off, there will still be some fluid in there, but not quite as much. Make sure that you put the spring in the same way that you took it out.

Get the good cork gasket, make sure your pan edges near the holes are nice and flat (to prevent any leaks)

I wasnt able to find a cork gasket when I resealed mine. None of the parts stores around me had one.

Oh yeah, if you really want to do this right, pull the inspection cover off the bell housing and find the drain plug in the convertor and drain it. It will take around 12 qts to refill the trans. If you only do the filter it is like 5, so kinda wasting your time.
