Reading over some of my old threads concerning this swap I noted that everyone said my transfercase would end up moving back a few inches. I had assumed that I would have to do that then I read this.

http://broncograveyard.com/bronco/i-11300_c-4_swap_kit.htm

Does this kit differ somehow from what has been done in the past or am I going to have to move it back because its a six not a V8? I was just surprised to read in the description of that kit that you use the stock crossmember and no driveshaft mods are needed.

The rear of the six is further back than the rear of the V8. That's where the difference comes from.

I dont believe there are any tranny swaps manual or auto for a 6 cyl that doesnt move the t case back.

The kit you linked to is pretty much exactly the same as the stock ford V8 C-4 adapter. The description is for a V8 setup as few people keep the straight six and swap tranny's

I figured that would be the case just wanted to make sure I was not missing anything.

Another Question. The guy I talked to will also give me the shifter ( Floor ) that is in the mustang this is out of. Any reason not to use it? I had originally thought about doing a column shift but if I get this for free......

Take it. It may require some mods to work but the column shift would definitely require mods. The C4 would aslo have a floor shift arm installed as opposed to the EB shift arm.
