I'm pretty sure I can, but to avoid being pi$$'d off when I find out I can't..........Can I reuse my Detroit locker in my standard rotation low pinion dana 44 in a full width reverse rotation HP 44 housing (minus the R&P). And can I just drop my 9" center section (with 31sp detroit and 5:13 R&P) in a full width 9" housing and reuse the stock FW 31sp axles?

Yes and yes. The 9'' carrier is not different and in the D44 the ring and pinion gear are different not the carrier.

Great! So now, do I upgrade the axles or run the stock FW axles? After breaking my moser chromolley Dana 44 axles, I'm leaning back to the HD stock 44 axles for the flex factor...

You'll strip the splines on the stock axles. My brother has stripped a few of them now. He switched to 35 spline now so I don't think he'll have any more problems with that.
