Do you need a pressure regulator switch for a Carter electric fuel pump? I've got my 2 tanks going to the switch valve to an inline filter to a Carter fuel pump to an inline filter to my 670 carb. Thanks, Erik.

Is it the 4070? If it's the same as the pump I am running..you do not need a regulator. As long as it's pressure rating is 6 psi or less you shouldn't need a regulator.

For wheelin, it's a good idea to have a regulator, keeps the bowls from overflowing and flooding you out. I ran 2-3 psi on the trail, and 6 on the road.
