I was curious if anyone knows if the required chevy parts for the front disc swap would work from an '82 4x4 pickup? I've searched and I know what WILL work, and the only reason I ask is I've got access to good parts for free and if they'll work I'll snag 'em.

As long as the spindle has the smaller bearing diameter. You can have the big bearing machined down to the smaller size, or just pay the $80 for a brand new ones. If you have an extra wheel bearing take it with you to size up.

no wont work

No won't work ...You need 73 1/2 ...74...Blazer and 1/2 ton chevy truck ...You can mill some of the bigger spindles.. WE did some but it's hard to get perfect sized ...buy a pair ...best after it all done...
...Spindles seem to be the only hard thing to find....Calipers a dime a dozen ...Pads cheap ...spend as little or as much as you see fit...bearing available anywhere ...same as seals ..Caliper mounting brackets always forsale on here and Ebay ..from 20 to 50 bucks .Locking Hubs lots of chooses ...again choose your poision...But those damn Spindles you can't find a set anywhere ...not cheap..And I don't think that post about using the Dana 30 is a good ideal ..Because I haven't done it ...but it aint wright ..

Where would a fella look if he was wanting to buy new spindles? I ahve heard J.C. Whitney but found no listing for them on their site.

Spindles

Dan at horsepowersales on EBAY has everything you might need. I just ordered his complete kit and i am very happy with it. No compliaints at all. Check out his site, was a little nervous about ordering from someone on Ebay but it worked out great.
