I second tshep's sentiment. I hate I missed it, but I did get my C4 installed, so it was for a good cause!

Looking forward to the next one!

Kelvin,

Did you go from a manual to a C4? Run into many problems?

Mac

yeah Mac, I went from a stock 3-speed to a C4. Problems? Not really, I had most of the parts from a donor vehicle. The most difficult part was the rebuild of the C4, but I had a mechanic friend help me with that. Wow, was that a mess!

I'm not through with it yet, but I've been pretty pleased with the process. As with any EB project, it always turns out to be more involved the deeper you go. So, I've added several small projects since starting while I already had everything disassembled and accessible.

All I really need to do now is finalize the linkages / shift setup and I should be riding with the rest of you!

Guys, not trying to hijack but since this is so close to us here in Atlanta I think we need to get involved as a group. Tellico has been closed to 4x4s until a study is done on the impact that the 4x4 trails are having on the trout. Now I fish myself but this is extreme. The trout fishing club wants to close Tellico permaneltly to us, so they get exclusive access to fish. I've already written Saxby Chandliss and Johnny Isakson. I urge you guys to do the same. The Heep guys are all over this and we need to get onboard. I've attached links below. Please fill out the survey and mail it in. If you want, I have a prepaid stamper at work, Bring them to the next meet & greet and I'll take care of all of it.

Thanks for this Dave. I grew up going to Tellico with my dad to hunt and fish and it is one of the east coast's best spots for wheelin in my opinion.

I'm on it!

Hey fabster54,

Sorry we didn't get a chance to meet you. I will add you to our list of local EB owners so we can keep you in the loop on gatherings. Nice looking project you have going.

Mac

Here is the response I received from Senator Saxby Chandliss' office today. They obviously don't know the difference between a 4x4 and an ATV. I guess when you have a personal driver that all of us foot the bill for, you don't care one way or the other. We need to lood this guy with emails. Make him understand its not just one or two people who want to keep Tellico open to us.

Dear Mr. Weil:

Thank you for contacting me regarding your concerns about the use of all terrain vehicles (ATV) in our national parks.

While I understand that citizens are opposed to the use of ATV in national parks there are also citizens who enjoy this activity as outdoor recreation. A certain compromise needs to be reached to benefit both groups as well as the national parks. Many national parks allow the use of ATV along main roadway, but only allow foot travel off the main corridors.

Should any legislation come before the Senate, I will certainly keep your views in mind. If I can ever be of further assistance to you in the future, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Ok the month of April is upon us and no location or date has be set. There are several of us going to the super celebration on the 17th so that leaves only this Saturday and the 25th. I vote for the 25th. Anyone have a location they want to suggest?

Man phred, you are on the ball! The 25th works for me. We have done midtown and Marietta, how about we do some Decatur, Druid Hills or even Gwinnett? We could meet at a Steak-n-Shake at Tocco Hills or maybe a good cheap Mexican joint somewhere? Just some ideas.

decatur sounds good to me. We can really get under the greenies skin with 10 or 12 10mpg or less rigs rolling into town. May have to nudge a few prisis's out of the way though. he he
Taco Mac is downtown. Steak & Shake a Tocco Hills is good too.

Ok what say all you Altanta Broncos?
