Click from front hub

I'm hearing a rotational click from the right front on my 66. Over the past few months I've had the hubs apart a few times and it's possible I put something together wrong. I can hear this click when slowing to a stop. It's likely always present but can't be heard over the tires and engine.

Do you have hubcaps? Original steel wheels?
They can also make clicking sounds.
You’re right to concentrate on the hub locks, as that is usually the culprit in clicking.
Just not the only potential suspect.

You might even jack it up and rotate the wheel by itself just to see if it repeats without having to drive it with the full weight on it.
Could be as simple as something came loose or got wedged back there, but if it sounds like it’s coming from inside, then you definitely wanna pull the hubs apart again and check.

When was the last time you greased and adjusted the wheel bearings?

I checked and greased the bearings while I was doing the lift a month or two ago. Two things to mention. I don't know which way the spring is supposed to go (big end in or out). And, I put new o rings on the lock knob and cap and the knob no longer sits flush. No hubcaps on the front yet. The machine shop just finished cutting them . I have us wheel 17x8 wheels.

Well, we can rule out the wheels then.
How did you adjust the wheel bearings? With the proper tools and by the book?
And when I say “by the book“ I don’t mean by a random YouTube video unless it’s been vetted.

What hub lockouts are you using? Unless they are factory original, they don’t use the spring.

I do have the proper tool but no book. I looked the adjustment up on this forum. Also, it's the factory 3 screw hubs.

Lock the hubs and see if it still happens. That might isolate or eliminate the hubs.

It has either fixed itself or it was a rock. I haven't heard it again.

Well, good news is good news. Especially when you didn’t have to do anything to get there!
I used to have vehicles that fixed themselves when you parked them overnight.
I miss those days… 🙄
