Anyone out there ever put headers on a 170???
I found a set of old clifford vipers that say thay fit a 60 to 68 ford van
But after calling Clifford preforance they were not much help ( BUT they did try). They told me at this time they don't even make a header to fit a Bronco.
They could not tell me much about the old vipers.
So again anyone ever get a set on their rig.
Thanks

Don't know if this will be any help, but I used them on a C***y I was building once. Good products, worked really well.

If the headers are for a Econoline van, in the years you gave, it probably will fit. The van back then was a straight axle very similar setup to the Bronco. I will go out on a limb and say they should work.

If Clifford doesn't make them anymore, I'm guessing you're SOL w/o going custom. Clifford had them in their catalog for years but probably discontinued them due to lack of demand. K Bar S had them in their catalog back in the old days too. Maybe try Jeff's or someone else that deals in used parts????

I sold a Bronco last fall that had some. Headers were like new. I could try locating them if you really need a set. Here is what they look like on a Bronco. Do the van headers look the same ? Wish I had a better picture for you .

It is kind of hard to tell from the photo I saw but if you ever run across a set of them I would love to get a set.
Thanks

Free For All this past June

There was a guy in a green bronco with a 6 banger at the Free For All in Summertown, TN this past June running headers which I'm pretty certain were Clifford Performance. It was a 200 c.i. and he had it rigged-up to run on propane. It was actually two headers (2 tubes + 4 tubes off the head) feeding into their own exhaust pipes. Sounded real good...almost like a V8.

If anybody knew who this guy is, he might be a good source of info.
