Jon. Thank you very much for setting up this buy. Just one question. I don't plan on running slingers. Will Mike lower the price a couple bucks if we don't order them?

Will these outers work with either the Ford or Chevy disk brake conversion? I have the Ford on mine.

I wish i had a big bearing rear end.

Sorry, I've been a little tied up with other things. I'll email Mike tonight to get those questions answered.

Any chance of getting a beefier u-joint for the front in this deal (at a higher price of course)? Also, are there any warranties offerred on the Yukons? Doesnt Yukon make a heavy duty u-joint that is less expensive than the Ox or CTM units? I really would like a heavy duty front setup but am worried that the stock spicer u-joint is the new weak link in this setup. Sorry for all the questions, but want to make sure I don't ruin a new set of axles with snapped u-joint (been there, done that).

OK. I reread the info. It says free slingers. I missed that. Sorry for the stupid question. :-[ But if that's the funniest thing you've seen in a long time you need to get out more. %)

OK, here are answers directly from Mike:

Will these outers work with either the Ford or Chevy disk brake conversion? I have the Ford on mine.
The 9.72" stub offered with the kit is for stock Ford Brakes, It is not drilled out like some stock axles so you can not use the bolt/fender washer method of hub retention. I am expecting 3 sets of G.M. 9.94" Stubs in this week and will swap them out for the 9.72" stubs at the customers reguest. Please reserve 9.94" stubs prior to purchase.

Is the 5-760x u joint that comes with the mass buy a stock joint?
The 5-760x is the best reasonably priced U-Joint available, features a forged trunnion, this U-Joint supercedes the 5-297X (stock joint) which uses a cast trunnion.

Any chance of getting a beefier u-joint for the front in this deal (at a higher price of course)? Also, are there any warranties offerred on the Yukons? Doesnt Yukon make a heavy duty u-joint that is less expensive than the Ox or CTM units?
Yukon Super Ujoints can be added in place of the 5-760X FOR $229.00 or purchased sepeately for $249.00 (pair) delivered. I believe we are the only company stocking these at this time. Kit includes (2) Super Joints, Grease and Grease gun. Ox U-Joints are $289.00 a pair, CTM $399.00 PAIR

Would there be a discount without any u-joints? I already have a set of the Yukon joints but after this last weekend I am looking at getting a new inner long side and this might be a good option to both get it replaced and to get some spares.

So let me get this straight. Mike will put $48 worth of (almost) stock u joints in the buy, but if you want to up grade he'll only take $10 off the price of the mass buy. I reference his catalog for the 5-760x that's $24 each (hence $48). He'll sell us a $239 (per catalog not $249) pair of joints for $229 (looks like ten off to me).
Mike, I love ya man (I must, I've bought a lot of stuff from ya) so clearify this Do you subtract the $48 from the $313 and then the up grade is another $229? I lost an axles over the weekend and I'm in need, but don't want mostly stock u joints.

I just checked his web site and he has the same D-44 yukon axles listed for $299. Why the price difference?
The Yukons are $299 for the axles only. Don't confuse with the Dana kit for $299.

If you go to his site and add up the Yukon 4340 axles, (2) u-joints, (2) slingers and the $8.95 handling you get a total of $363.95. The mass buy price is basically $50 off that price.

Bart, I'll check w/ Mike on the upgrade to see if the cost of the 5-760x u-joints is subtracted if you substitute any of the heavy duty joint options.

I ordered mine with the Yukon Super u-joints, but left the 5-760x u-joints as part of of the order for trail spares. ;D
