I'm El Cheapo and am running one of these mounted on driver's inner fender. you have to get a braided line coming out of the compressor running to a nearby manifold because the hose gets really hot. got an ARB up front and air tank mounted in the system for filling tires. compressor is five yrs old and hasn't hiccuped yet. not as good as a York compressor or maybe a Viair but very simple and for $69 it is well worth it. price now about $10 higher.

This is the same one I run for my tires. Its a decent product., but its fairly slow.
I won a Shitty-built model that is similar at a run at the Badlands last fall. I had to rewire it, replace the switch and now the hose has an obstruction...stay away from Smittybuilt. It now sits on the shelf.
If you have the space to store a tank, then there are several of these small, inexpensive units that will work...but without a stoarge tank, its a slow process for airing up tires.
The new ARB's specs are impressive, but the cost is retarded.
In my opinion, if you havent bought a winch yet, I would score the Warn winch/compressor combo.
Otherwise, keep it simple...go with the CO2 mini-tanks.
