Here is the rotation number on the 66 Half Cab. When I get the Roadster delivered to the shop I will look to see if it still is visible. If its there that is going to shed more light on this.



Very nice! I hope you can find it on the roadster...... I have them on the back of the door panels on my ‘77.

Yes. That’s how the rotation number was used. It simply defines the location of the vehicle on the daily production line.

My point is that vin numbers were assigned with no regard to production sequence so it is possible to have Broncos with consecutive vin numbers. The rotation number was used to work around the production issue you describe.

until yesterday I have never seen it on any ...and still never seen it on Sep 70 GLKs and I have a loooooong self collected list w. pix of GLK0 - GLK22xxx

I think my '71 is a GLK that might fall into that range FRANKO. What am I looking for?
We may have talked about it years ago already, but just in case I wanted to throw mine into the ring.
