hey bronco nuts!
my 75 is running at about 220, consistantly after being driven around town all day...
i changed the t stat and flushed the cooling system but i am still getting high temps...
im in texas so its pretty hot down here...
if i get a new radiator, would a high efficiency 4 core bring down my temps considerably, or should i just annie up the rest of the cash for a aluminum 4 core and get the best??? would a 7 fin fan also bring down temps considerably?
thanks you guys rock, im hoping to keep yall updated on my project...

Im guessing you have the stock radiator in now right? Most aluminum radiators are only 2 cores, usually 1 inch width each. Every one has there own opinion on which cools better. I personaly use an aluminum radiator from Summit Racing. It is a universal fit radiator so you might have to fab your own brackets, but I do believe they fit in the stock mounts. I would also reccomend a fan shroud if you dont already have one.

I'd get a shroud and also consider adding an aux fan, that would be cheaper than a new radiator.

second the opinion of the Duff rad. The local rad shop will no longer repair mine, but will give credit from past repairs for a new one. Yes, I said repairS. I lost track of how many times I took it in. Often for one leak, they would fix the first one they found and think it was good. After a few complete leak checks, it is currently good, for now.

Don't know about the Duff shroud. Best deal I could get on my new one was the Ford dealer.

8) I have a Howe aluminum radiator that I got from pitstopusa.com. The price was cheap and worked great. Good luck with whatever you choose.

I have a 3 core that will cool as good as any and better than most but you may not need a radiator. I am finding that a smaller pulley on the water pump is a major help in cooling. The water pump pulley should be smaller than the crank pulley. Must have a shroud. A deep, fixed pitch fan helps and a good water pump. If you have all of the above right and still have a heating problem then I have a radiator for you.

Chuck,

About this pulley thing. I haven't looked in awhile, but it seems to me that the stock EB water pump pulley and the crank pulley are roughly the same diameter. Is this true? And if so, do you sell a smaller WP pulley or larger crank pulley to swap them out? Your reasoning makes sense. my bronco doesn't overheat, but it does warm up a bit idling in traffic when the ambient temps go up (like yesterday). I think turning the waterpump a little faster at idle would help. Ideas?
