south padre island. went to the furthest open beach then rode the shoreline further out. Found a lot of what looked like medical waste. Went further and saw a 50 gallon drum that said nude beach. Noone there.

Took a four wheeling trip to WV on the Hatfield McCoy trail years ago and ran across a complete jet ski miles from any open water just sitting on the side of the trail, no trailer or anything.

Same trip, stoped at a river crossing for a beer break and it was getting warmer. Another group sitting next to us was doing the same thing. One of the female riders decided to take her sweatshirt off but when she pulled it off she got her shirt, bra and all! Got it stuck on her head while her husband tried to get to her and cover her up. It was kind of like porn flick meets hockey fight!

Found a burnt out jeep way up a canyon once. Pretty sure it was stolen and torched. thought about checking it to see if it had a NV3550 but didnt figured that it would be my luck that it did and then I would be found pulling parts off it.
About the only other thing I ever found was a decent digital camera on the trail. no good pics on it but there was pics of the owners pot plants.

Found a 15 year old girl a few years back. Said he boy friend got made at her and left her out there it was raining and she was soaking wet and scared. About 3 miles up an old trail we used to mud ride on. Took her to my mothers house where she called her mom. I went back out there to see if they would come back and look for her ( I was going to stomp his ass ) stayed till after dark but no one ever showed up. Got back to moms house and she said her mother had came and picked her up. Never saw or heard from her or her mother again.

6 or 7 years ago I found the remains of a '66 or '67 Bronco while elk hunting. Wasn't much left as it was probably out there for decades. The only thing good on it was the passenger side wing window.

Several years back there was a place here in KY that we hunted, it was a state leased wildlife management area of about 4000 acres. It could be pretty rough getting in there at times when it was wet, but if it was dry you could go just about anywhere on the place with 2WD. But then in the late 1970's when the 4X4 craze and wheeling in the mud hit our area it became a good place to go trail riding. It got tore up pretty bad and they eventually closed it. Anyhow there were some holes in there that would literally swallow a truck. Me and a buddy got in there before daylight one morning to do a little squirrel hunting and found a brand new short bed K10 Chevy Silverado pick up setting buried up to the door handles in one of the mud holes. The muddy water was upto the dashboard on the inside. And how did we know it was new, still had all the window stickers on it. It could possibly have been stolen but by the time we finished our hunt that morning someone had come and got it. I always thought that whatever idiot drove it in there had never had a 4X4 before and thought it would go anywhere and wanted to try it out after leaving the dealer with it.

Back in my army days at Ft. Hood, I went wheel'n in my 89 bronco II.. started at a trail by the public lake, drove passed a dear hunter who gave me the stink eye for blowing his cover.. lol.. then My bud and I continued on laughing about that, we stopped to take a look around and found some m16 and 50 cal casings.. even found one 50 that was unfired.. moved on from there and as we came over a hill we ran straight into a tank. It was heading straight for us and we were about 100yard apart.. woops guess I crossed a no travel zone somewhere.. we turned around and left the area.. so i guess a hunter, 50cal round and a tank..

Back in the early 90's me and some friends were out wheeling around Issaquah, WA. We spotted a little trail going up a hill off of Issaquah-Hobart Road, and decided to go up and see where it went. As we crested the top, we found ourselves in a nudist colony. We made an abrupt U-turn and headed back down the way we came. I guess the "trail" was actually for drainage, not vehicles.

Why is it that people that actually join these colonies are the people you least want to see naked?

A boat (shell) in the middle of the desert.
Various abandoned (striped, full of bullet holes and sometimes burned) vehicles.
Rail road tunnels
Building foundations, sometimes with a little building on top still.

But a I saw the pieces froma friends trip where he found the remains of an old army/air force jet from the 50's. Also heard stories of finding a just engine that looks like it fell off a 747 just sitting on the desert floor.

Then the assorted trash, remains of broken windows (window tint really helps hold the pieces together so you can clean it up). cans, bottles, shot gun shells. Find a shooting spot and you can usually find plenty of live ammos that is still good.

Surprised it's still open! Was there back in 70-72. Used to find old colored glass fishing net floats washed up from Lord knows where. Good times.

found an Apple I phone last year in Moab. When we got back home, we charged it up, it still worked. We were able to find the owners name and ph. on it. Contacted her and sent it back to her. It had been lost for over a month. Survived thru rain and snow.

on our way to a campsite in azusa, ca (inside the canyon), we came up a chevy pick-up truck at a rest stop with it's lights on. engine was off, but we thought nothing of it, since this place is known, like many hidden areas, for couples doing the hibbity dibbity. later that night, we had to go back down the hill to escort extra folks that would be joining us that weekend. pick-up truck was still there.

following morning, on our way to hit the ohv park, that area with the truck was a crime scene. appararently, some guy had kidnapped the girl, drove her truck and murdered her in the hills. when we passed by the forensic investigators had the driver side door open and we caught a glimpse of her body slumped on the bench seat.

still haunts me. makes me wonder, from the amount of times we passed, could the crime have occurred during our driving back and forth. sucks!
