When I bought my bronco it was already cut and and some point did have flares on it. It has all the holes for the rivits.

Looking to get flares back on it and worried the flares I order will not fit the opening and the already drilled holes for the rivets will be a problem.

Looking at War or Silverback flares......or others if there is a better choice. Just say NO to fibergalss.........

No, they are all different. So much so they have different cutout requirements as well.

Yup they are differant. I had to weld metal back in the opennings on my 73 because the old flares were so much wider than the ones I got. You could get the Warflares they are flexible and may take up any differance you have. But I am sure you will need to drill new holes!

I think I would measure the lowest holes. Get a out to out number and count how many holes you have plus maybe a few more measurements and start calling the venders and see what you come up with.

If lucky you should come up with something that at least will cover all holes even if you have to drill new holes.

Both the Warflares and the sliver backs are made from a super flexible material that will stretch. You can see that as a lot of people mount the flares up to the body line.
So many of the older fiberglass flares I've seen have been put on, well, not ideal. You can use ours to stretch and actually center the tire in the wheelwell better then the older fiberglass flares.

You will probably need to trim more too just to clean it up, but that is not a bad thing.

I've seen some flares that come without any holes maybe the fiberglass ones then you may have a chance at making it work with the holes you have

Just get the Gorilla Warflares and make a new larger opening and use new holes for the rivets, screws or bolts that you will use. I would not recommend rivets. Button head SS screws with backing washers and lock nuts look the best. I simply used self drilling/tapping screws on my trail rig.

Once mounted you will need to mark and recut the opening to match the new flares. I would not try to match the old opening.

I'm worried my "opening" will be too big and look strange with my 32's (getting 33 one day) if I cut anymore. Not to mention the aux gas cap is already in the way so I can't really cut it any bigger.

I may end up adding metal back at this point.

I had the same worries with my 67. Holes previously drilled looked like they might work, but when I put the WH Warflares up against the body they were off a little. In fact, it appeared that a few of the holes would be exposed. Like WH mentioned, these flares stretch and I was able to work them to cover all the old holes.
