Afternoon guys!

Quick question. After lots of reading, i still don't have a definitive understanding, I have 2 questions:

1) Are there particular measurements to the rear rail grinding mod? I have read that too much grinding is bad.

2) There are no modifications to be done to the front shift rail, correct?

Yes, you need to be pretty precise on the grinding or you'll have problems with gear alignment, which lead to bigger problems like broken teeth and cracked cases.

Here are some measurements. These measurements indicate the center of the pins so their radius is not taken into account. Make sure you add that radius in. You're only concerned with the bottom of the rail. The top of this rail shown was also modified to duplicate the J rail, probably more work than you want to do.

No mods needed to the front rail.

The top of the rail is the weld and grind/grind mod so it stays in rear low? I plan on doing that too.

Thanks,
Duane

That's it. A lot of work unless you have a lathe and a mill. Might be easier to take some J rails and cut and drill the rails. They are pretty hard to drill though.

Ok. I did the grinding and welding. Curious about operation. So from neutral, I can shift rear to low, then the front to low. Conversely from neutral I can shift the front to low but I cannot then shift the rear to low without putting the front back into neutral.

For high, from neutral I can shift rear to high then front to high. But from neutral if I shift the front to high I cannot shift the rear until again without putting the front back to neutral.

Does this sound correct?

Thanks,
Duane

No. Both sides should be independent of the other now.

We might have a solution for you, depending upon the timeframe in which you need them. We paid a visit to the company it's going to be making our D 20 replacement shift rails yesterday. Finalizing the profile and getting ready for a short run for testing purposes still a few weeks out.

I was fixing to place my order on Monday when y'all return from vacation for all the twin stick parts for a T shift . I am very interested in getting in on these rails.

Is there any update on the pre-fabbed shift rails? I am going to purchase some when they are available.

Good on JB Fab for maybe starting to stock these! This does not look like an at home grinding project. I'd be interested in buying proper rails to add this feature to my Bronco, very interested.

Thank You

Test rails complete?

Any up date on how the new rails work, or when a set will be available?

Yes!

They should be listed on the site by midweek.
We will have a promo code available for an introductory price.

For this kit to provide protection from cross-shifting, it requires two shift interlock pills, and an external interlock (external interlock provided in the kit).

For folks that don't have their pills, or people that have the "J" type (single pill), we are going to have new replacement pills made.

Since shift-rail replacement requires a complete tear-down of the case, we will be offering reseal and rebuild kits as well.

All kits will include shift-rails, external interlock, and adjustable detents.
options will be interlock pill(s) (when available), reseal / rebuild kits.

shift-rails CNC machined 304 stainless, external interlock laser cut 304 stainless.

Please post when it is up on your site, also will you sell the complete kits for rebuild or can someone post a parts# list for parts required for rebuild so I can go get elsewhere, as this will be something I wanna do.
