Dana 20 Front Low Range Issue

I have a '74 with twin stick shifters and can't get the front axle low range to shift in. It shifts fine on rear axle hi and low and also fine into front high but simply will not shift to front low. Before I pull the case I thought I would bounce it off you all for suggestions. I've tried rocking it back in forth hubs locked and open. Even moving the shafts while on the lift. Just won't go in.

Thanks in advance

Often when people install twin sticks or a body lift they don't realize that they may have to open up the hole the shifters come through. It could be that your axle shifter just doesn't have enough "throw" to engage the case.

Thanks for the reply, double checked the clearance and can confirm that's not the issue. When I went into the shop and checked. I played around with it a little more and discovered if the rear diff was shifted into LR, as soon as I tried to shift the front into LR it would pop the rear out back to neutral. Something must be amiss inside...

In case anyone else has this issue and comes across this post:
I removed the inspection cover and found the rear axle twin shift stick way out of adjustment. It was only getting about half the low range gear teeth and therefore not clearing the detent pin locking out the front shifter, not allowing it to shift into low range. Adjusting the rear shift stick to allow a full travel into low range then allowed the front to shift into low.
