I'm looking for a front output shaft for a 69 Dana 20 Transfer case (T-Type). Does anyone know if I could use one from another vehicle that was equipped with a Dana 20?

Thank you,

Trent

The front output shaft is one of the parts that does interchange between the Bronco Dana 20, the Scout Dana 20 and the Jeep Dana 20 - but they are J shift type shafts. Some of those shafts are 26 spline instead of the Bronco's 10 spline.
You can replace a T shift front output shaft with a J shift front output shaft, and it gets rid of the snap ring that makes removing the front shaft so much of a pain.

Thank you for the info. So if I locate a 10 spline front output shaft from a Jeep or Scout(which are J type) it will work?
It appears that the snap ring was what caused me to damage by original shaft.

You will need the front output gear washer for a J shift also, it is larger because of no snap ring.

I was able to locate a t-shift front output shaft. Unfortunately, I broke the snap ring and can’t seem to locate one.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
