Morning. My Chiltons manual doesn't list anything when it comes to the Dana 44. Is there a tightening sequence you use to tighten down the ring gear to the carrier?

Thanks.

Star pattern, like a wheel. Good practice at least. exact pattern isn't that critical. Two stages is a good practice as well, snug it up then final tighten.

Put Loctite on the clean bolts and ring gear threads. You don't want to risk them backing out.
