Definitive answer needed: What is better - built 302, EFi or 351W?

Thanks for all of the great replies. I am convinced that the 351W with EFI is the way to go.

What should I expect to pay for a used 351 that I can rebuild.

Are any early year blocks better than others for this application?

Just to be the devils advocate here, perhaps, but the one bib, big problem with EFI on a 351 is the lack of hood clearance. You will want to factor in the hood in any conclusion. I refuse to hack up my hood or do another inch over the 1 inch I already have. So it will be a 5.0 for me.
