Determining leaf spring suspension lift

Ok, this has probably been answered before, but I am looking for the distance between the rear axle spring mounts and a line drawn between the spring eyes on a stock bronco. I replaced my rear axle years ago and went with a heavier spring pack to eliminate axle rap. I solved that problem, but the rear sits higher than I'd like, so I need to determine what size lift to buy to replace it. My current dimension is about 6" and the springs have 6 leaves. I am running F150 front coils and some body lift-1/2" in the back and close to 2" in the front. The truck currently has about a 6" rake. I would like to see that about 3". I have a '77 with a '74 rear axle, and I usually run it topless. If I cover it, I use a half cab. Right now the body is all steel, but will probably go glass someday. I think that is all the important points. I would welcome input.

The normal place to measure from is the top of the axle tube to the bottom of the frame. Stock rear measurement is about 6" front measurement about 7"
Really I would fix that mismached body lift 1/2" in the front and 3in in the rear well I can only imagine what the body lines will look like.

Most broncos will aftermarket rear springs and no top will sit higher in the rear than the front. Id just buy you some taller front springs to fix your issue.

Thanks for the numbers. My rear suspension measures 8.25" from tube to frame, and the front 6.25" tube to frame. I'm not sure why the front is that low with the heavy springs, but the front height is dead on where I want it. I am running 31x10.50-15 tires and the rear wheel wells look empty. Seems like I need to find some heavy rear springs with no lift to level it out. Anybody want to trade 2" lift for some heavy stock height springs? The body lines are straight as an arrow.:)

Usaully F150 front springs will give 1- 1 1/2" lift in the front. Sounds like you either have stock bronco springs that have sagged or cut down F150 springs.
You probably just need a set of stock rear springs a few venders sell them. I probably wouldnt go with old used stock springs as they tend to be worn out.

While you body lines may be straight now sooner or later that angle will do them in. Especailly if you ever take it offroad and get a little twisted up. but if your happy with it then I guess you can stick with it.
