Back to the TFI mystery.....I have a grey remote TFI from the Lightning engine package. #'s on it....e7df 12a297 a2a, 2L10x

Will the Lightning TFI and the Mustang A9_ not speak the same language? Are they completely incompatible? I was assuming the function of the TFI was the same across all Fords of the same year model generations. Since the Lightning was early 90's and the Mustang computer is early 90's, I figured I was good with matching the two up. Perhaps not?

I'm looking for guidance here on this one. If I can't use the Lightning TFI, what distributor and/or TFI should I use? Thanks in advance.
