I have a 1975 302 Bronco...have had usual issues keeping wires in cap. Bought later larger cap and the adapter to fit that cap...new plug wires and thought I had it licked...but for you smart fellers out there you already know I need a tall rotor...I've searched threads and cannot find a difinitive answer as to what rotor I need...Can you help me...with a smiley face emoji of course.

The confusing part is this...Shaft size of the distributor. I have my EB over at a mechanic friend of mine..(a real one) and I picked up a 76-77 rotor..don't know if it will fit but will test in AM...and I'm buying a reman dizzy from 76-77..If one does not fix it..the dizzy will. My dist is electonic..

I have more questions than answers.
Shaft size should be the same through a wide range of years, even from points to the large cap. Have the parts person look up a rotor for a 80 f150 or look at Rock Auto for the same.

You just need the longer rotor for the bigger cap.

The rotor should fit a stock distributor. I just did some upkeep on my 74 with a 302 and got a cap and rotor kit from AutoZone (Duralast Gold Ignition rotor F2103G) the rotor seems to be tight, but it will slide on. You just need to tell them you need it for a 77 Bronco. I have the duraspark electronic ignition with the blue color box.

you guys were right...I got a rotor for 77 and it looks like it's gonna work fine. Mine is a little weird..75 says it's a point dizzy but mine is electronic with blue module. So maybe it was changed early in it's life or and oddball from Ford. I will report back..

Most trucks were still points in 75, but Broncos (or at least some of them) got the electronic distributor early.
Could be just California broncos, or it might’ve been all of them. They still had the small cap in 75, but it was the initial introduction of Dura spark.
Some passenger cars might even have got them in 74? Or maybe that was 75. There are a couple of experts here that remember the details better than I.
Whatever, I say yours could have had it.

But the blue module is more than likely a swap. I don’t think the blue was available for a couple of more years.

Just out of curiosity, is yours an early 75 or later? Do you have a California DSO, or elsewhere?

The blue box in mine was changed and I'm not sure if it was points first then changed to electronic.
