Need some help with my new 302 that will not start after doing the following..
Changes from stock:
The new motor has an RV cam, I do not believe the firing order would change from the standard cam timming.
Added Holly Pro Jection system. Fuel pressure is set at 12# which is delivering gas and I have spark.
I couldn't find my timming light last night to verify where #1 is firing.
I assume once I find it, I can connect to the #1 wire and see if it flashes where #1 would be. When cranking, it sounds like 180* out.
Here's what I did. I cranked over the motor and felt for the compression stroke and both rockers were raised (valves closed), piston up and pointer on 8* BTC. I'm thinking I could be on the exhaust stroke.
Any other way's to verify without the light? or should I start diggin?
Thanks!
