Does anyone else ride around with their blinker on?

Where did you buy the lights at, Ive replaced the cam I think twice I'm giving up. the next thing will be hooking it up to a La Cucaracha air horn. ;D
One of the local parts stores. They fit a 1/2" hole and the outside is dome shaped (Approx. 5/8" across). I use the same lights in different colors for the rest of my indicators as well. (Fan, off road lights, hi beam, etc.)

As said above...replace the cancel cam. Really easy to do and you don't have to replace the whole guts. It was like 12 Bucks. Don't get the ones from the HELP section at your local auto store..they don't work because the arms are different. Order one from one of the Bronco vendors. I got mine at Jeff's/ Noe they cancel great. Blue71

if the contacts are corroded or worn, you are better off changing the whole thing. my horn contacts were worn down, and now i have a horn, too.

Blinker Bling

When your as old as dirt the first thing to go is hearing...(so I've heard)! My blinkers work fine and they cancel nicely from turning the wheel...but every so often I got the number one salute because one is left blinking for an eternity! I needed a visual that was easy to see and not on the dash clutter!
Mopar parts to the rescue! I went to the local pick-a-part and scored 6 or 7 pair of 60's and 70's front fender turn signal indicator lights...the ones that mount on top of the fender, finished in nice chrome. %) They remove by unscrewing the one screw on top...you can cut the wire or find the connecting plug and pull it apart there. Install the unit between the front inside fender bulge and the hood. Pre-drill the hole and carefully scrape the paint to get a good ground when you screw the cover to the body. This unit is small and hardly noticable yet it's in your view as you are driving. ;)

Solution 1: Advance Auto parts sells a "loud" blinker (yellow). ....it's LOUD! I use them in my FSB.

Solution2: remoted the turn signal light indicator to the top of the steering column cover....much easier to see.

No more finger waves for me!

the fender indicators from a 70;s Dodge Aspen or the like will blend nicely.

course this would be a nice excuse to install the hood vents from a 68 Mustang with the signal indicator built in.

Do what I do, USE HAND SIGNALS!!! It's legal, and even funny seeing peoples reaction. I don't think people under the age of 35 even know what the hell I'm doing.

I found out something new the other day. Was driving the wife's new 500 SEL and just after changing lanes I hear BONG BONG BONG. Looked at the the instrument panel, no warnings. I thought one of the doors popped open, NOPE. I thinking what the heck... and she says "Oh you didnt turn off your turn signal". Sure nuff, it seems if you drive more than about thirty seconds straight with a turn signal on, it reminds you. Too kool. :)

Careful now. This is not legal in all states. In some states hand signals can only be used for vehicles and farm equipment that were not originally equipped with turn signals. If I recall right one or two I've read also specified that hand signals could only be used during the daytime.

I got tired of people coming up and turning mine off for me on the trail, so I took the arm off and put it in the glove box. Doesn't stick anymore.

Im a student at FSU...I always cruise with my blinker on because even though I get enough looks as it is in the Bronco, when a cutie comes up to me at a stoplight and tells me that my blinker is on, its just gives me one more reason to try and get her number...haha

I thought I was the only one to did 50 miles to the mud drags once with the blinker on all my friends following about died laughing. Two years ago broke my left hand and mangled my middle finger now it is always straight so Im constantly turn the blinker on with out knowing it.
