Depends on what camshaft your running. If your running a roller cam you need a steel gear. If your running a standard hydraulic cam then you need the cast gear. Mix them up and say good by to your cam, dist or whole engine within a few drives.

Thanks, found it by searching some other threads. Definately not roller, so I ordered the rebuilt distr with cast...........
