Easy Leaf Spring Question...

Ever have something off for so long that you forget how it goes back together? Well I have. Just to make sure I'm right, the left side of the spring is what goes in the front correct? The fatter part that coils around is the rear? I finally got around to putting the rear leaf springs on the other day and I found myself second guessing myself.

wrap around should go in the front as a safety measure: If the leaf snaps' you have a second leaf (redundancy) and that way the leaf cannot catapult the rear of your truck if the broken end of the leaf spring was to drop and dig into the ground while the truck was moving.... (i know; i need to learn how to punctuate properly...)
