• Be EXTREMELY cautious if someone offers to buy your Bronco for more than your asking price and sight unseen. ESPECIALLY if the buyer is overseas. It's probably a scam.

If he's expecting to actually get $16,500 for that bronco, he's lost his mind. If someone pays anywhere near that for it, they are on crack. However, if he wins it himself, again, then both are true.

Internet sales tax coming. That'll throw a wrench in the shill bidding scheme.

Oh Well, I got the bronco and I got a title, but I'm not done yet....

I replaced the fuel tank and all of the lines, and she seemed to run well - I took it for a one block spin and blew up the starter. Seems the ring gear was bad, so the starter did not disengage - BAM! Replacing ring gear and starter to get her going again - think I'm going to get rid of it with the front and rear floor pan set, window glass, dash cover and radio I bought for it! I'm going to focus on my other rebuild. Craigslist here I come.

Thanks - gonna need it, I'm afraid. I'm going through the braking system tonight after I get the tranny back in - bad thing is that the 289 really runs great. Once the valve covers were replaced to kill the leak and the motor was cleaned up, it really looks and runs good. We'll see - might just have to keep both - a hunting truck and a show truck!

The saga continues - so far -valve covers, flywheel/ring gear, bell housing, starter, and now - gear box! Haven't even gotten to the cosmetics yet. Probably will steer clear of this vendor in the future.
