I have all of the speed density EFI stuff off of an 86 Lincoln town car. My problem is I cannot find an ECM pinout diagram for this system. I can find 88 on up, but none of those match. Does anyone know where to find one?

Ok, here is what is driving me crazy. What wires need to hook up to the ignition switch? Just the EEC and fuel pump relays? It is time for me to start asking stupid questions.

Typically, the O2 sensors, the coil, and the EEC relay?
The EEC controls FP relay via pin 22
Look up threads on Pin 30 NDS also, don't want to
rehash the whole thing here again.

The 86 Mk VII harness I used on my dads car back
in the day, had a decent amount of extra wiring in
the EEC harness for items that had nothing to do
with the EFI wiring (like ABS, electronic hydroboost,
air leveling rear airbags, etc...). You might find some
of that in the TC too.

It was time consuming, but not that hard to weed that
stuff out of harness once off car.

Best way to start is strip all covering off the harness, zip tie at all branches to maintain shape.

Understand what functions you need and how to power them.
remove all not needed.

Pin 30 NDS on this harness goes to the starter solenoid no matter what the code manual or auto.

On the subject of pin outs, I've just bought a breakout box. I have been wanting to play with it. Is there any charts showing what base values should be between pins? Running vs key on?

Yes. Thousands of pages of them. It's called an "EVTM" (Electrical & Vacuum Troubleshooting Manual). You can buy it in paper for $20-200, but it's better to get a copy of the original Ford CD or DVD for $5-25. They were available free for a short time as torrents, but Ford shut down all the trackers. Many of us have them, and they're often on eBay, too. Click this & read the captions:

I have a typical pin vs voltage/ohm/freq chart that used to be on RJM's site. Can't seem to find it online, but I'll try to get it scanned in.

Keep in mind this is an RJM aftermarket MASS AIR harness. So ignore wiring diagrams unless
you want to emulate what a good non-emission "re-work" might be for your harness (minus mass
air conversion of course)............
