Just curious if Duff changed it's spring rates, as mine were purchased late nineties?

Yes I have some early 90's Duff variable/progressive coils.
I also have some from about 3 years ago.
They are very different.
They even look different.
More coils, closer together at the top is the most obvious difference.

My opinion, new ones are softer without being Wallowy.
I really like them

Someone must have purchased the Duff 2020 shocks. Any feed back? I have to buy shocks and I'm seriously considering the Duff 2020 shocks but would like some options in addition to those of the manufacture. Thanks, John B

In the sticks of MT
I purchased and installed a set, but unfortunately wasn't able to do a lot of testing, and won't be able to until the snow thaws. Early indications are good, though I'm comparing to RS5000s:

I'll try to update my thread when I get some more trail time on them, but that won't be until this summer. As of yesterday we are all snowed in until spring, so snow-crawling will be the extent of my seat time for a while.

My personal feed back for me and my application is they leave some to be desired. I am only running them on the rear(custom valved 7100's on front) with the duffs 4 link. They seem to need a touch more rebound control as on an aggressive dip, the rear will buck up. But overall other than that they seem to be a great shock for the price point.

I will be going with a custom valved set-up later this summer to compare some more.

Finally got to drive with them installed. Ride and handling was a lot better than with the old shocks. Felt more stable.

Keep in mind there is no such thing as a one size fits all. Individual vehicle setup and weight will change how they work. We did look into adjustability on them and it can be added but the expense is quite steep. I’m sure if the demand rose it would be considered but for some a custom built or fully adjustable shock will be the only solution for their ideal happiness and that is also a viable option.

I am tempted to try them. I have 20 year old Rancho 9000s on mine. Has to be an improvement.

Dammmit! That is it. It was 70 degs and sunny and we pulled the Bronco out for a quick 10 min drive to the beach for a jog on the sand and as I pulled out of my driveway I heard that telltale clunk. ANOTHER poly shock bushing on the Ranchos is missing. I am over it. If I am pulling that shock off to replace another bushing, it may just be time to replace the 20 year old shocks. Took measurements for them tonight. I think I will try those new Eibach Duffs

And I ordered them March 3rd...still haven't shipped yet. Tired of this covid19 excuse for everything. I know it is not Duff's it is Eibach in CA, but its always something. I have been waiting on suspension parts for my wife's F150 for over a month from Rough Country and every day I get an email saying it will ship 1 more day.

I installed a set on the front of mine when I went long arms last summer. Like them compared to the RS9000 I was running.

Wanting to get a set for the rear but on back order.

Same issue here. I have the almost complete Duck Tuff suspension, waiting on the rear shocks as well.%) Hang in there.

Ok, I know I have been bitching about the delays for these shocks. Mar 3 order, finished putting them on today August 2nd, although they have been here for a week. 1) I don't blame Duff's for the ridiculous delay, although I think they were slack for a week or so after they got them. 2) These are horrendous to install. I am 6'4 250lbs and go to the gym about every day, and trust me you will struggle, wedge, pry, beat to get the install done. Completely suck for a home garage install and I did the frame off in my garage. 3) Damn! I only did a very very winding road test run today (paved) and the truck is glued to the road! :D worth the wait and the struggle. I will do some light trail test in the next week or so. My truck is NOT top heavy, no top, fiberglass tub, 3" suspension lift, 35x12.50R15 Cooper STT.
So far I am impressed, now that they are here and installed.

Just to be clear, which ones did you get? The 2020?

Yes, the MS2020 sized for my lift. I replaced my Rancho 9000s (installed in 1990s) that were spitting out bushings like it was their job...They are much stiffer than the 9000s on medium setting (my personal bumper jounce test), but the road control is better and they seem to recover from washboard/potholes way faster. I will be on some dirt trails next week and will report back. There is no rock crawling in the Low County so I cant say anything about that. It's just washboard trails, mud, and beach here.

Thanks. I just lowered mine a bit and have a call into Bryan at Duffs tomorrow to get mine ordered. I also have old Rancho Extreme air shocks from the 90's on mine and am looking forward to these.

I can't imagine it won't be an improvement. Just pay off your neighbors with a case of beer so they don't call the cops, bc you will be mad cussing on this simple install :p;D lol

That's always the challenge with installing gas-charged monotube shocks that can't be discharged. Lots of muscle and cursing involved.

My back ordered Eibachs show up a couple weeks ago. Not looking forward to the install tonight. Front and rear need to be installed.
