Anyone recommend any 16" electric fans from the local AP stores? I got some cash and need to pick one up. Would order one but I'd have to put it on the CC. Then I would have to explain. I'm sure some of you understand.

Not sure it is 16" but a stock replacement fan for...
Taraus
PT cruiser turbo
Lincoln Mark VII
'95 Mustang

Any of those will do a MUCH better job than a generic parts store cooling fan.

Thanks, I had my wifes uncle bend that up for me. He builds stainless equipment for dairy farms.

That is a nice clean looking setup.

Yup, Taurus fan pulls a lot of air. Whatever ya go with - make sure the wiring relays and fuses are large enough to handle the peak load. I used to run a 2 speed Taurus fan. I had it set up so it would start at low setting then to high if needed (or manual override). It didn't go from off to high cause that's what causes the most load.

Any reason for not running a standard manual fan or clutch fan? Pretty tough to beat the reliability and amount of air flow from a good clutch or manual fan.

A shroud is a must to get the most air flow thru the rad too.

If ya have hot headers... I've found a little body lift and/or some trimming inner fender to let hot air out helps too.

Sorry if this is stuff ya already know.

Actually it's not running. On the tail end of a complete restoration. I have a 3 Grove crank pulley and 3" spacer for the fan. That with a 3 core aluminum radiator leaves me a about a 1/4" with no shroud. The amount it would cost for a new pulley, spacer and shroud could probably buy me a nice electric fan.... so I'm thinking.

I run a 17" dual speed Derale electric fan and couldn't be happier. It has an integrated aluminum shroud and is the perfect fit for my aluminum radiator. The two combined keep my mild 302 cool in the hottest weather.

Lincoln Mk VIII two-speed fan, Taurus or Lincoln cars. A 95 Mercury villager minivan with a 3.3L V6. The stock radiator is a gigantic three core all aluminum radiator. The fan is a gigantic 19" two speed fan, it is massive, bigger than a mark viii. If anyone's interested, the 92-2002 Villager is a rebadged as a Nissan quest.

Like said above. Taurus or Volvo. Great fans. I haven't compared the two but read that the Volvo uses the same motor as the Taurus fan. But you can unbolt it from the shroud and bolted straight to your radiator for more room. Plus you can get the whole harness right off the core support.

I'll see if I can locate one. There are a few junk yards in the area. Also Summit has 16" Derale fans for $123 shipped. I got a Champion shroud I can attatched it to.

I'm also running the 17" dual speed Derale electric fan. It's keeping my 351W cool with no issues.

I modified the stock shroud to to work with the fan

I walked through a row of Volvo's and found 10 fans and relay setups that would work. I picked the best looking one and grabbed the fan and controller from the same car. I am making an aluminum shroud right now for mine.
