Definitely. Put it on the "ignore for now" list of priorities!
One thing you could do however, would be to verify power is getting to it, and when.
Key on only, or powered all the time? Or with some other accessory turned on. That kind of thing.
But only when you have time and feel like it. Not a priority, just a curiosity.

Good idea.

Also do you happen to know what side of the windshield squirter is positive? It could be useful sucking water off the windshield but doubt it. Haha.

If I am reading Steve83's diagram correctly, the power feed to the connector in your second pic is the contact on the left of the image.

I've always had a hard time interpreting connectors, wondering if the drawing is meant to show the wire side of the connector, or the contact side.
I always "assume" the contact side, but have set to memory which way has worked.

Hope it works for you and you don't end up with suckers!;D

I recently spent some time going through my wiring and replacing the fuse block (1970 original harness). I had the same connector behind the dash as well as another unused one. Found a discussion on here stating one was for the radio and the other was for the dash light. Can’t remember which color went with each. Either way, shouldn’t affect what you’re trying to accomplish.

I’ll try it out. I still need to mound the reservoir, so it’ll be a bit. Thanks for the help Paul.

Ahh. I haven’t had a chance to hook a volt meter up and switch things on and off to check power. I did find the courtesy light connection as well. It’s gotta be either something for radio or aux tank. I’ll do some testing and post my findings.

I just installed one of those Hurst back-up light kits for the floor shifter. Super easy. Probably could have made it, but getting a 5 minute bolt on kit every once in a while is awesome.
