Evaporative Fuel Line Question

Sorry guys if I have been blowing up this site with a boat load of remedial questions and issues. Now that I have my Bronco running, I noticed the evaporative line coming from my rear tank is broken a the connector. I have only been running fuel in my aux tank which is new, my rear tank is refurbished and I'm ready to put some fuel in it. Will this broken line cause any issue, I don't think it will but just want to be sure and does anyone know a source I could order a replacement part or if I even should? The charcoal canister was removed by the P.O. but I still have the separator tank bottle in place. Thanks for the help.

You might small gas if you have your bronco in a garage
Just take a piece of rubber hose and two hose clamps and connect it, you can cut off the broken piece

Without the charcoal canister, all the other tubing doesn't really have much of a job anymore. And a potential for fumes as was said. Probably more than just potential too, I would think.
Best to at least cap it off like spap said, if you can't find a good way to splice it back together.

I always prefer leaving the evap system in place and functioning actually, so would ultimately try to replace the charcoal canister. Better yet upgrade it to the newer style mounted higher up.
But since yours is rendered out of commission already, might as well just cap off the open ends and see how it all works out.
Sounds like so far so good on the aux tank, so maybe it'll work out just find on the main too.

Perhaps the recovery tank is acting like half an evap system, even without the canister. The tank would at least capture excess fumage and allow any liquid to flow back to the main tank.
To your question though, I'm not aware of where to buy those fittings. Never seen them.
But never actively looked for them either. Maybe one of the reproduction houses, such as Scott Drake or the like.

Good luck.

Paul
