It will work. Not real sure if flipping a 300 is worth it. They tend to leak a lot and I dont know if they offer CV style yokes I imagine they do but you may want to check into it. If you already have a 300 then your not to bad off but if you have to buy one then I'd look at something else.
Also the 300's dont seem to stand up well when you install the low gear sets that are availible. Guess it may depend on how much you beat on it tho.

will the front drive shaft clear the trans pan? I guess with the clocking ring in the kit you should be able to get it to clear the side of the trans case/ pan. They use double seals on the shift rails to stop them from leaking. Also I think that shift cables are easier than linkage.
