Explorer PS pump vs Saginaw?

Going to the serp setup but found that you can get the bracket to run a Saginaw pump with the setup instead of the Explorer.....not running ram steering, just hydroboost, is there enough difference or need to run the canned ham? Or is the "stock" pump just fine for most applications?

Thanks

My junkyard Explorer ps pump is fantastic.

No HB and no ram though.

Turns my 35's with ease

My Explorer pump turns 35s (15.5 wide) 4x4x2 box and hydroboost. When I air them down to 4 psi the pump struggles a bit ( on pavement) but works fine for street air pressure.

Get the right fitting (Lee's power steering) that doesn't hold the pressure relief valve open. Explorer should work just fine.

Can you elaborate more or post up a part number? This is a new one to me but seems important. Thanks for the heads up!
