just got done whipping out my body lift. all that is left is to grind down the high spots on the ends where they are welded and make it smooth and paint them up. i used 2" I.D. galvanized pipe around 3/16" thick, then used 3/8" washers that are zinc plated and super thick. i had about a 1/16" of gap all the way around between the pipe and the washer before i welded them up and made sure i got great penetration. all the materials where free! i like that part! my question is, when i install them with the new body mounts, is there anything like a rubber gasket that goes between the body and the body lift? i looked this up in the tech section and found a pic but cant tell if there is anything in between them.

thanks

John

Nope, paint them and stick them on top of your stock rubber bushings. You could get some flat rubber and use a hole saw to cut it out if you want to put a washer on top.

ya Nick it sure is. i did it outside and upwind. that sh*t is toxic. i just like the idea of no rust or atleast its minimized. well that answers my question, i will just get some 1/8" flat rubber and cut out circles to fit. just didnt like the idea of metal to metal contact.

After cutting or welding galvanized, drink a glass of buttermilk to take care of the galvanize poisoning.
