Ok, as some of you know I just picked up a new Bronco. The previous owner pointed out something I thought was kinda wierd. The VIN # decodes this as a wagon, or full roof, and it did have a full roof on it when the previous owner first got it. However, it has a bulkhead and a full bench front seat. Now there is no holes drilled for a rear seat, and the bulkhead has no holes drilled into it fora 1/2-cab to be installed. It appears this bronco, a 1970, came from the factory with a full hard top, a bench seat and bulk head and no rear seat. Is this uncommon? Anyone else see one like this or have one that came like this?

Thanks!

I think they put the bulkhead in with the bench seats. The bench seat is getting rare though.

The bulkhead was installed at the factory on several models of broncos , with or without the bench in front . The rear seat was optional and the bulkhead allowed the area behind the front seat (seats) to be used as a cargo area and kept the stuff in the back from slidding under the seat .

My 66 had a bench seat and bulk-head with no rear seat. It was original full length hard top also.

I've heard this combo referred to as a "Delivery Special". I do think they are rare but not more sought after than any other run of the mill bronco.
