So this has finally happened. It's a 1968 bronco with a 302. I've got a few questions about it. First it has a holly 2 barrel carb on it and I'm wondering what other people run for 2 barrel carbs. It has a 3 speed on the floor and when doing about 60 mph I'm running about 3 grand. If the gears are stock they should be 3.50 correct? I'm looking at getting new gears put in but not sure what to put in. It has 33x12.5x15 tires and I will only be doing on road driving never off road. Anything people have tips on I'm all ears.

Cool and congrats!! 3k sounds high for 3.50 at 60mph. What's your axle code on the vin badge? Doesn't mean it hasn't been swapped out, but what on the vin badge? That's about what I run with 33's and 4.10.

Is that 3000 RPM what the tach says?

If the speedo gears have not been corrected for larger tires (stock was 27 to 29 inches) it will read as slower than you are really going.

The original carb would most likely have been an Autolite which is a Ford carb.

Congrats on the purchase.
Mine is total street use. At 3K, with 3.50 rear, 31" tires, stock 3 on the tree I am running about 70.
2100 is ~55. 2200 is ~60. Logged this with my GPS.
I have a Holley 600 on my 302. Edelbrock intake. Really runs nice. Plenty of pep, idles sweet.

as Turbo said the Autolite 2brls are great carbs but so is the Holley 350cfm 2 brl . I've had em on several rigs and have never been unhappy.

I think you have 4.10's.

My 3speed with 33's & 4.10's ran about that RPM at highway speeds (60-65)

Nice bronco, welcome to the club.

pro tip: (1)Get a secret bank account. (2)Save your receipts only to catalog the part you bought/used for future reference, but never, ever add up your receipts.

Thanks guys for the info. I'm going to figure out what gears I have tomorrow. I ordered a rebuild kit for the holley carb. So we will see when that comes in.
