First Drive!

Just a post of pure excitement!

First drive after getting everything back together. Swapped in a new front axle, all new suspension, new steering, new power brakes, new rear brakes, new extended e brake cables, and all new fluids in everything.

This is my first time diving this deep into the truck and somehow everything seems to be working together. I can’t hardly believe it!

Thanks for all the help everyone. Now to decide on what to do next. 😂

Pics for fun.

Thanks! I was about to order the matching rear the other day then started reading about some unfortunate things that have happened since apparently the Hanson designs were sold.

Is this the one with the Exploder motor in it? The explorer that was full of ants or am I thinking of someone else?

Looks great. I think that ugly green strip on your door from the chrome being removed is the same color mine (73) was originally also. Not even sure what that color is called. Mine came spray canned flat black when I bought it.

Welllll it was supposed to be. That motor ended up needing a rebuild so it’s sitting on a stand in my garage still. The plan is to rebuild it back better and use it once this new (very used) 302 gives out.

It is the original color! It’s called Lunar Green. Far from ugly though. It looks really good cleaned up. I’m tossing around the idea of painting it back that color when the time comes.

I wish I had a better picture. There’s a patch of fresh original paint in perfect condition behind the heater box.

I think you stole my door! LOL Not sure if it is the exact green, but looks like it...maybe when its not in a rusted fenderwell and such it is nice. I don't know if I have ever seen a restored Bronco our green color.... Now I almost want to see you do it
