FiTech controller (New Style) something gone bad

I just installed my new FiTech controller. Anyone else running fitech and the newer style controller. It was working and then just didn’t turn on for the drive home. Then 1 mile later the truck stopped working. The controller is not needed to be on or plugged in but seems odd it was having problems and the truck also stopped working. The controller won’t connect. I plugged in the older one and it turned in but doesn’t recognize the fitech as it shows no values. Truck won’t start. I wonder if the FiTech went bad? Switched the coil and still no start. Fuel pump is only 1.5 years old if that and not many hours on it. It’s trouble shooting time…… could it be the throttle body gone bad and not working??

I would still suspect the fuel pump. Electric or not, they often fail from sitting.
You said one and a half years, but not many miles? That presumably means it gets driven and then doesn’t? With lots of time in between, fuel pumps, go bad, especially with modern fuel.
Admittedly, with electric it’s not as bad as with mechanical pumps, but doesn’t mean it can’t happen. However, that shouldn’t affect the controller.
Only way to know for certain is to get some eyes on it. You have a fuel pressure gauge you can plumb into the system to read what the throttle body is seeing?
Seems like that’s the only way to know.

As far as other potential issues, electrical is always the bane of a computer’s existence with Broncos. Do you have an entirely new wiring harness and charging system? Or is it original?

Good luck! Hopefully someone here has some insight, but I don’t think there are too many running new products from them yet.

I plumbed a gauge into mine so I could ensure proper pressure if issues came up. If I don't prime mine long enough it struggles to fire up and run/idle correctly so Paul might be on to something with the pump being an issue. Doesn't answer why the controller went blank though.

Do you cycle the key multiple times to prime it? Or do you have a separate switch?

Ends up that my in-line fuse for the pump melted!!! Not sure why. Didn’t look fresh and for some reason was a 25 amp fuse!

And the controller was faulty and FiTech sent me a new one. Haven’t tested it yet.
