I finished up my fitech install today and the start up was perfect. Idles nice with no issue. When I rev the motor at idle it falls on its face. Smells rich as all get out. And I have a weird sound on wot. The sound is like a whirling noise or whistle maybe normal as it pulls more cfm than the howell. I think i set it up correctly. Hei dizzy 13 degrees TDC.

Did you check the IAC steps, Mine was way out of whack when I installed it the first time.

Check out Facebook and look up Fitech owners group. Lots of good info and pinned posts. And guys who can reed the log files. But yeah adjust the iac so it's 3-10 or somewhere between. After adjust shut off and let screen go black. Then start it again and recheck. Continue until it's where it needs to be. It's a 1:1 ratio with both front and rear blades opening at same time with the screw up front so back the secondary one out until iac are set then adjust the secondary just until it makes contact but don't disturb the iac.

Sounds like one of those times where my wife and family leave for awhile to let me relax and cool off.

Fitech question or Holley Sniper..... I have a new rebuilt motor (hi performance) that I will be installing. Should I break the motor in first with a Carburetor? I thought I saw on the Fitech chat where you should.

Unless you already had the EFI up and running before the rebuild and could guarantee it would start up and run the first time, I agree with the others. Use the carb.
It's a shame, I know. But worse would be sitting there cranking and cranking trying to figure out an issue while your camshaft slowly whittled itself down to a nub.

Just sayin'...

Thanks guys, I will find a usable 4bbl carb to run for a few months then purchase the upgrade. No need to ruin a nice McGunegill built 347!!

I was not happy. The popping and sizzle noise won't leave my head. Summit racing has a new one coming out

I've said this earlier on some other fiteck posts. I'm was deeply disappointed with this product and customer service. I put the system on a freshly built 347 that was professionally done and still on a Dyno just to see different HP number between carburetor and throttle body Fiteck. After numerous attempts to tune the system and poor customer service for tech support and motor seemly to run to say the least like crap. We took the system off and replaced with old carburetor and found original HP number way off. So motor was tore down and found to have been glazed over and fuel washed in all cylinder with number 5 piston broke due to extreme pressure from fuel dump.
Some issue were due to faulty handheld which did go blank and in process of replacing but this is suppose to be a plug and play system which it is not.

Wow..... That totally sucks! If I did that to my New McGunegill 347 crate motor I would blow a head gasket myself.
