Ford Racing 306 - Good engine choice?

Actually all ford crate engines do have a 1 year/12,000 mile warrentee. but I'm sure dealing with a warrentee situation with them is not fun. Also I believe the FRPP is its own section not really part of the factory itself.

Last time I looked in an FRPP catalog (8+ years ago) it said there was no warranty on engine assemblies. Looks like they added that in the last few years.
Some engine descriptions in the older catalogs indicates the engines were built in factory engine plants.

A few years back some of the engines they offered were stock factory engines. I know they offered a complete 5.0 EFI engine and a version without EFI both were production line engines. They also had a stock 351W 2V engine for awhile as well. They probably still offer some factory just that they are the modular engines now.
