Frame mounted radiator support?

I'm pretty sure I searched this topic and didn't really find what I was looking for. Since I don't have my body on the chassis yet - I was thinking of mounting the 94 explorer 4.0 radiator on the frame so I can do an engine run test.

The radiator I have has lower pegs and uses rubber donut mounts:

I think it should be pretty easy to fab up a frame attached bracket using something like this:

I'd need to brace the upper temporarily until the body is back on.

Anyone tried this?

Sure why not? Should work fine for a test run. Just be careful the aluminum/plastic radiators do not like flexing it will cause the joints to fail much earlier.

I just used a 2x4 across the frame and a metal strap on top to keep it from tipping too much, but the hoses do a pretty good job.

Core support is welded to frame on the firebronco but radiator to core support still has rubber isolators/dampers to help it from vibrations.
