Frame reinforcement for steering box

I'm having my frame beefed up around the steering box (4x4x2 box) and eliminating the WCB bolt on plate in the process. Has anyone ever added a gusset to that area from the inside frame to the front of the crossmember? Seems like it would work well, but want to make sure I'm not missing a clearance issue for something.

Thanks!

That's the idea right there. Thanks GB. Is that the 4x4x2 box as well?

Yes it is the 4x4x2. I also have a BCB style plate on the other side and DOM tubing inside for the bolts to go through to avoid crushing the frame
