Gas tank fitting

Putting in a new orig gas tank. Fuel gauge sensor connector is butting up to the rear cross member. Seems too high. Is there a work around to get it to fit?

Was there an original type tank in there before? If not, you may be missing the brackets that the top of the tank rests against.

Brand new build. New frame, new gas tank. Brackets are installed. I could move the front brackets out to allow more room (or lower them) but then the tank filler would be hitting the frame and not allow the tank to drop lower.
