Getting Spark but won't start after changing plugs, wires, cap, rotor, pertronix igni

I just replaced plugs, wires, upgraded to larger male post cap, rotor and swapped in the pertronix ii ignition module. I'm getting spark to the plugs but engine won't start. Note: was running great prior to these replacements.

Any thoughts on next troubleshooting step? I was planning on checking plug gaps and make sure I didn't knock one putting it in. I believe recommended gap is .044 for the electronic ignition, does that sound correct? Thanks!

Plug wires/firing order

I don't know what you can screw up putting in petronix unit, but check that too.

Its always something you just did.

If it was one plug, she'd start and have a miss fire.

Knock any vacuum hoses lose?

I triple checked the firing order so good there. So if it was only one plug with a small gap I would expect to get a start? I'll check vacuum hoses, good call.

Could it be anything on strength of the spark? Are there any voltages I should check? Thanks

Basics...
Do you have fuel? Pull the air cleaner, check for an accelerator pump squirt.
Is the timing right? Did you pull the distributor to install the pertronix? Did you get it back in right? Pull a plug, thumb over the hole, bump it over until coming up on compression, pop the cap off and see if the rotor is pointing to the correct spark plug.

Could you have the plugs off one terminal (still right order, but off to the left or right)? Did you swap the whole distributor or just the cap? Could it be off 180 a tooth or two? Swapping just the cap, you didn't get 180 off due to the index tab? Just thinking what could get messed up easy. Does it backfire through the carb?

I would check 12V to the coil, but I don't know why that would change. If your showing spark to each plugs I would think its a timing issue since nothing else has changed.

I did not pull the distributor but rather installed through the cap. I just checked fuel and doesn't look like getting any squirt in the carb. Weird, is this a completely independent problem or could this be related to the parts I swapped?

I pulled the hose from the fuel pump to the carb off at the carb and cranked the starter and am getting no fuel out of hose. There is fuel at the inlet of fuel pump so off to the parts store I go. Thanks!

How are you checking for spark?

Did you install a Second Strike box? If so, what's the rev limiter set to?

I pulled a wire and plug. Put plug in wire and then grounded the plug casing while cranking the engine and I got spark. I read this online but I certainly am new to this so appreciate any suggestions.

Pour a little gas down the carb and give it a crank. If it fires up then you know for sure you have a spark and probably a bad fuel pump.

Since you already have the hoses off the fuel pump, you can test it with a vacuum pump.
I hate to see owners trouble shooting by throwing money into parts.

Good call blubuckaroo. I shot some air down the filler neck and fuel came squirting out under the truck. Looks like a hole burned through by the exhaust which I got about a month ago. I guess just perfect timing where it happened when I was changing plugs and wires. Thanks for the help.

You should always re-check the timing when you make changes like this anyway.
Your timing "could" have changed just from the swap to the new style cap.
Your timing "would" have changed just from the installation of the Ignitor.
