Going to the Crushers, SaddleUp & Second Chance do "The Crushers" rock test (pics)
For anyone that has been out to Brown's Camp in the Tillamook State Forest they probably already know about the Crusher Loops. These are a pair of loops off the side of a trail up there that are riddled with huge boulders. They vary from the size of bowling balls to the size of a small car. The Rock Buggies use this as their playground. Anyone that goes into these knows that more rigs break in there than ones that don't. Big clearance, big tires, and tough stuff are all needed for these. Several months ago we went in and watched other go in and play. That day 3 rigs took the challenge. One rolled, one busted the rearend, and the third was still in there after we left and the owner was on his way back to town for more parts (they had already robbed everything they could off the other rig they had that was there). On my last trip I ripped a hole through the sidewall of a tire on mine before I made it around the first corner. Today we decided to make a quick run out there and take the challenge agian. We only ran the top loop but we picked 2 different paths so there are a variety of different angles we hit to give eveyone an idea of the challenge this trail presents.
