Good radios for an offroad rig?

Hey y'all,
I'm wanting to get some music in my 66. Either full head unit or just bluetooth receiver (never really use the radio). If I'm gonna do a head unit, I'd rather it look semi factory, but I'm not sure how well a retrosound would hold up in a truck with no roof or doors. Had a little bluetooth reciever under my dash for a while, but it didn't last but a month.

What are some good recommendations for some tougher audio setups? Any suggestions for speaker would be appreciated too.
TIA

I would try a different bluetooth receiver. I've had one under the dash of the boat for a decade now. You are already setup for it.

They make BlueTooth and Aux connect with AM, FM receivers for Boats. They are weather proof and work good. I have a Jensen unit on my boat and its out in the weather all the time and its about 8 years old. The one I have is about 3" in diameter with a LED display. then a separate Aux connection plug for USB or Aux cable.

The new ones are even nicer and probably have more power output.

Live had good luck with pioneer stuff in my trucks. I tried a Kenwood but it lasted about a year before is started acting up. In the broncos they're mounted in a tuffy box but still see plenty of dust. If you don't mind taking it in and out the make blue tooth soundbars that mount to the roll ba but would get ripped of if you leave it anywhere.

I ran Bose 101 waterproof speakers in a 72 that ran most of the year topless/bikini top. Good sound but not the cheapest around. No help with radio as I bought a cheap in dash radio/cassette unit.

for years I have run a Blue tooth enabled Alpine in my center console with marine grade speakers under center of dash and in factory Ranger rear seat boxes right behind the front seats. Not show quality but plenty loud and clear enough for driving as I have only run a bikini top and half doors for close to 20 years now...SORRY no pics of under dash

I am looking at the marine grade receivers, smaller format And can stand some weather.

I've had great luck with Dual brand radios. I have one in my Bronco and one in my Samurai. I only use the bluetooth feature on both. I have a portable bluetooth speaker for my bass boat.
