did Wayne still have that one?? I saw that EB prob 12-14 yrs ago at his house, outside of Talladega. I bought a sweet '69 U14 from him, used to talk to him occasionally, funny guy.

No, he must have been the one who sold it to the guy I know. You have any contact info for him? I'd like to trace its history down.

As of now, I am going to enjoy it as is after some deep cleaning. Someday in the not so near future, I may restore it back to military specs.

I'd hafta do some digging. His name was Wayne, had a huge spread outside of Talladega, and kept several EB's at a time. Likable guy

If I'm not mistaken, he bought 2 at the same time, this one and another one. So that makes sense.

Just like you did with the book, take lots of detailed photos from different angles of all the decals you can find. At some point you may be able to either find NOS ones (a miracle!) or have some re-made from your old ones and/or images.
Each of those has it's little bit of the story to tell.

Very cool.

The hood brace is an unusual thing to go missing. I wonder if it was banging on the engine, or if a weld broke loose and someone just yanked it, or if it was removed on these particular rigs for some clearance issue?

Cleaned her up a little today in my spare time, I thought I should represent it better.

I really want to, but there is no siren anymore.

I'll try to get the light working though!

Thanks again for all the kind words, everyone. I'm overjoyed that everything worked out for me to have it. Very thankful to say the least.

fordfan, I tried the light, and it's not working.

Oh, and in case anyone is wondering, I'm keeping her FOREVER! ;D

What's the round apparatus on the rear bumper? Seen that on all the military bumpers it seems like.

Looks like a trailer pigtail plug in?

That's what it is, but I don't think I've ever seen a plug that would fit it. I'll take a pic of it and post when I get home from work. Must be for military type equipment. ?:?

Yeah, shore power hookup! Military grade stuff.
I wonder if that was some standard size flip-up that also might have housed hydraulic quick-connects at some point.
