Just got a 351w Efi every thing accept the evil won’t need it since I’m going to go with edelbrock pro flow 4.
The motor only has 64k the paint isn’t even burnt off the heads no grease or oil leaks.
I’m pretty sure 650 was a good deal like to know what you think. Run it like it is or stroke it. My intentions were to stroke it but it’s in such good shape. Not sure if the serpentine system will fit in the bronco. Don’t know I’ll have. To see

What year is the 351W motor?

94-97 F4TE Block - The serpentine will fit with a fan spacer and a 17" mechanical fan (Remove the Thermal Fan) and a 3-Core Radiator. Just a slight trim on the original Fan Shroud to clear the tensioner.

Pretty sure some have put the truck serpentine systems in their Broncos, but also pretty sure it's a tight fit. Not much worry about that space in a full-size truck!

Was that you posting the other day about the Pro-Flow? No, that might have been a Trick Flow upper they were talking about. The Pro-Flow uses a 4bbl throttle body to meter for the port injectors, correct? That should be a good runner.
And a LOT more clearance under the hood than the stock stuff from the 351 that's for sure.

Should be fun. Whether $650 was a good deal or not, I'm not sure. Seems about average for a low-mileage motor with all the stuff attached I would think. A 302 can be had quite a bit cheaper, but usually with much higher mileage too.
What's your guarantee for the mileage? Is it from a dealer, or somebody you know and can verify the mileage with?
Just curious since over the internet people lie a lot. Whether they intend to or not...

For engines with that kind of mileage on them, I used to say just leave them alone. But now with a couple of friends at least that have had either low mileage, or zero-mile rebuilds go south on them right away, I'm a big fan of opening it up at least to do a cursory inspection.
My next engine has about 5,000 miles on a known-good rebuild, but I'm opening it up anyway, and using the excuse to change the cam and cylinder heads to something more modern. And don't mind a bit...
The most recent friend just fired up a brand new 260 he bought for his Ranchero project and couldn't quite get it to run right. Blamed everything on the FiTech of course, and while some of it may have been, more likely it was the cylinder wall being eaten away from the inside out when for some reason the wrist pin in that cylinder decided to "walk this way" and do it's best impression of a reciprocating lathe!
Not good.

And likely not an issue with an engine like yours either. But when it comes to engines, any engine I'm not intimate with, it's all about trust.
You know, the trust in "Trust but Verify" phrase.;);D

Good luck. And again, have fun!

Hey Paul, I was on a thread talking about the pro flow 4. I think the motor is out of 10-14 he said he wasn’t sure he guarantees 64k but has no paperwork but said if and when I open it up and their is damage of any kind he will refund my money 100% and that’s in writing.

And a LOT more clearance under the hood than the stock stuff from the 351 that's for sure. I tried to look for number on the heads but couldn’t get a clear spot the paint was pretty thick. I took pictures of it but I have to renew my status on here so I can post pictures. And it looks like I’ll be coming to California to pick up all the brake upgrade /2.5 in lift so I’ll be saving about 365 in shipping. Now I’ll be looking for the 4r70w to swap in. It’s getting closer.
Thanks for all the help

Well that sounds pretty good then. Even though it'd still be a pain if you found trouble, at least it would be less pain in the wallet!

I have installed Three 351Ws with the later serpentine from a F4TE block. 2 from an F-series and 1 from an E-series with a Saginaw Pump.

Set up the Fan as stated in Post #2 and it fits like it was a Factory Install. Same depth as the original.

Yup, 96 E350 van front dress. Had to clearance the PS bracket to clear the lines going into my Delphi PS box. I run an A/C delete and Air pump delete pulleys due to the belt screaming at startup.

I found it very tight and ended up going with an electric fan setup after I relocated the upper brackets to the outside of the frame. My EFI has built in fan control so it wasn't a big deal.

Great info thanks! I think he said this motor came out of a 3/4 ton truck.
I’ll know more tomorrow once I’m able to get it home.

When you say delete pulleys are the actual pulleys of just not installed?
I don’t know exactly what you meant by that. I’ve never seen them. I’m not going to use an air pump or AC.
Thank for the information.

There are brackets with pulleys on them that replace the air pump and a/c.

Check Summit or Jegs

I didn't plan to use them but the big 130 AMP alt was screaming at startup so I had to. The upside is I run the stock belt and routing for the E350
