I know right? This project is evil I tell you! It all started out very harmlessly. New distributor. It was shiny and made everything next to it look like crap. so it began. Now the whole front looks great and the manifold looks great. I went and got two billet battery trays. The overflow bottle also. and it just keeps going like this!!! When does it stop???? Im already looking at lokar dipsticks etc.

Rant over....deep down inside I love it!!

All I know is you have one of the nicest EB I have seen and you are making it even better but not turning it into a show queen.

Thanks for the nice comments guys!!

The way things are moving she may start looking like a show queen but I vow that she will never ride atop a trailer unless broken down and I shall always treat her like a dirty - lets just say I will drive her ;D

I'm impressed, it will be a sad day when this is build is finished

If you saw the list of things I need to do that sad day is quickly approaching. Then there is the list of want to do. Thats several years worth of work. And we all know that the wants quickly become needs and must haves

Can't wait to see this thing @ BYOB fall cruise! Feeling a little green lately watching this build.

Paul

Dont be feeling green man. Its you guys that will be troubleshooting my work at the BYOB ;D Like the good tasker says; driving the wheels off - it may just happen one of these days cause I have no mechanical experience whatsoever with this thing. Its all trial and error and a lot of consultations with you good people ;D

Nice build, surly you are driving this while you make all these upgrades?

With the exception of the current engine upgrades; you bet!! But right now I am the dude sitting in the drivers seat making engine noises ;D while others look at me like I am disturbed.

I cant wait to have her on the road again for the BYOB fall cruise.

Found the perfect item to drop the radiator to compensate for the 2" bodylift.

Both items are from James Duff. This makes me happy not having to cut into the core support ;D Ill give Suzy a call on monday

That's a good idea, i saw that wild horses has a body lift fan shroud made out of steel so that you don't have to lower the rad.

Ive seen a couple of them. I want to go the dropping the rad route cause I want the fan to be centered with the radiator. A fan shroud with a tighter fit would force more air to flow through the radiator. That and the radiator air dam on the front should help significantly with the cooling. The vintage air condenser will sit in front of the radiator so I want to get as much air through there as possible. Im sure I will not have a problem in the cooler months but when it gets hotter I definitely want to avoid potential issues when the AC is cranked up. Or so I think ;D It might not even make a difference.

But for the BYOB the radiator and fan will have to sit misaligned with no shroud.

Made some really good progress today. Took out a lot of old stuff. The entire heater is out including all of the hoses. I guess Ill be doing the BYOB without heat. To compensate I took out the nasty old firewall insulation. I know I will not be freezing now.

I expected to see a lot of nasty rust/rot when removing the heater and old insulation. I guess I must be one of the luckiest bastards around. Its completely clean ;D

Also got the DUI in as well as gapped all the spark plugs and got the wires in there.

Ordered the high pressure lines for the hydroboost which will be here tomorrow.

Now I just have to rewire most of the crap in front since I ripped out the messy old wiring. Im almost back on the street with this baby. Cant wait to see what it feels like with all the new crap in there.

Yeah they are 10mm. I really like them. One side is the DUI and the other side is connected to Pure Power P25P. Hopefully everything will turn on in like 2 days.
